22. Mai 2013: Feedback von Schwester Clementine aus Bangang
My dear Katja
I wish to sincerely thank you and your husband, all your friends of ASHIA Cameroon, for all your love,
compassion, sympathy, concern, attention and your generosity to the orphans and vulnerable children
of this area. Thank you for sharing with them. Because of the pandemic of HIV and AIDS, many children
are orphans and have no means to education, nutrition, medical care. So your kind gesture is always
like a miracle to these children. From your generosity, a few children were helped: to go to school,
to have clothing and to have something to eat. Some were operated upon; two of them
with serious handicap that cannot be operated have got a tricycle. For all these, I say thank you
on behave of the children.
Thank you and all your friends for this great humanitarian work.
We promise all of you our prayers. God will keep and protect you all.
Sincerely yours
Sr. Clementine Ngong for the children

Good evening. Peace be with you. I am very happy to read from you once more. Thank you very much for the lovely letter.
Yes, I am with Sr. Clementine in the same convent now. She has sent some children to Njinikom for bone surgery.
Many thanks for your generous assistance. I always feel very happy when I see the children who go for this operation
happy that they can use their limbs like other normal children. May the Lord bless and reward you, your husband
and all the other persons who are contributing money to help these needy children.
Meanwhile I want to assure you
that there are also many poor children in my new school in Mbangang.
I hope you will be able to pay us a visit as you say
and then you can see them for yourself. The ribbons will be very useful
here

starben in Nkongsamba.

8. August 2012: Feedback aus Kumbo, Saint Francis Home for Skills Training
Present here are pictures of computer donated to Saint Francis Home for Skills Training by ASHIA Cameroon. These computers are really
of great help to the center because we have been teaching the children theory; the computer has now helped us to do the practical part.
For this short while the children have gain a lot of typing knowledge. All of them have mastered the Key board and a few of them can type
now without looking at the keyboard and we hope that as time goes on all of them will pick up. The practical part of the computer lessons
are done workshop by workshop so as to give each of them a chance to sit on a computer. The children feel so happy and very much
interested in their computer lessons.
With the present of computers in the center the children actually feel emancipated thanks to AHSIA Cameroon.

Everybody here is well and you lots of greetings. The containers are very expensive to clear from the pole. Thank God that

Mama Katja,
Greetings from Cameroon. How are you settling down after your heroic visit to Cameroon? I know you never used to have
time to rest. I am doing fine but feeling very disturbed because till now I have not started realizing my dream. I leave all in
the hand of Jesus my Saviour. I beg that you join me in prayers.
I am leaving now to take an orphan to Njinikom orphanage. I don't yet know how I will get the money to pay, but I trust
that God will take care. The mother of the baby passed away when the baby was four months old. The father is alive but
really looking very sick and cannot even afford buying milk for the baby. The child taking care of this baby is nine eleven
years old and dropped out of class six in the primary school to do this. The baby is now seven months and smaller than a
baby of one month. All the little girl can give the baby is pounded coco-yam or plantain with palm oil.
Pray for me too when you pray for yourself. Say hi to Papa Felix, I hope he is doing fine.
We remain united in prayers.

Dear Katja & Felix Bruhin
I am delighted to read from you and to know that you are well and busy
working for us. We are all well and the children are doing very well
and very happy working on the computer. I
find it hard to attach pictures
our network is not the best at Kumbo
with heavy rains.
I will try from Bamenda next week to send to you the
pictures of the children at the computer classes you will like them.
Your gift was a miracle to us. As you see in the report we do not have
beds yet and by the end of July we have to give back what we borrowed
from one of the schools. It is a big worry for me but I have been
telling God to do some thing about it.
Our problems are may but the joy we bring to the children is much.
With people like you I know all will be well with us, God is in
control of all and I thank him daily for his care over the children
and his divine providence. Be sure of my prayers for you and the work
you do. When are you coming to Cameroon? When you come you are welcome
to have some days with us at the centre we have rooms for you. And
SAFRAHOST is your Home. And anything that I can do to help you with
your work you are welcome to let me know.

25. Mai 2012: Feedback der Government Nursery School Bali Town
On behalf of the kids, staff and parents of our institution, I wish to extend my sincere joy and gratitude
for the reception of so many didactic materials.
On the 19th of April 1012, schoolbags were shared to 162 pupils
and 8 teachers who were present on that day, with file jackets and a toe millepede.
On the 22nd of May 2012 we again gladly received abacus shapes and numbers, jig-saw puzzles, many kinds of stuffed
animal toys, color crayons, animal pictures, a football, 2 toy cars, 2 pairs of skating shoes, and more file holders.
The above will go a long way to facilitate the teaching/learning process given their close resemblance to live objects and
thought provoking nature.
Once more, accept my heartfelt thanks. May God continue to bless you and replenish
the source, so that you will continue to do us so much good.

Dear Katja & Felix Bruhin
Greetings from Cameroon.
Gratitude is one of the hardest emotions to express and thank you, is
not enough and there is no word capable of conveying all that you have
done for the disadvantaged children of Saint Francis Home for Skills
Training and for those you are helping in Cameroon.
So until we reach a world where thought can be adequately put into
words. God alone is the only one who can thank and reword you for us.
All I can do is to offer you in my daily prayers asking the lord to
give you all you need for body and soul.
I got a boy yesterday who can and in-stored the computers one has a
problem. So the the children busy preparing the table for the
computers and the one for the printer shall be ready today. When all
is done we shall take the pictures and send it to you very soon.
I will like to share with you a bit about my work. I am a social
worker and for my many years in the Religious life I have been working
with the disadvantaged, the prisoners, those living with HIV and now
SAFRAHOST, and the old people of Njaivnyuy.
For the HIV I have formed support groups and trained leaders who run
the groups in villages and once a year we visit them and every year we
have leaders meetings to plan the activity of the groups. Seen their
drugs is not coming always when every we get money we go round to
teach them nutrition which is very good for them and the family we
teach them practical cooking so that their are able to cook balance
deity for themselves. I also encourage friends and people of good well
to support us with dresses, shoes, food etc for those who are poor, we
write letters of appeal to get money to pay school fees for orphaned
children in primary school. This year we paid fees for 300 children.
And a friend gave us school bags and pens and books for 100 children.
At the moment we are praying and hopping to get some thing for
September or october beginning of the school year in Cameroon. I will
say more next time.
Please I want to be a member of your group not just a receiver.
So tell me what I can do to be a member of this group.

16. November 2011: Feedback von Sister Xaveria aus dem Spital Njinikom
Dear Kathy and Felix,
many thanks for your kind patience for this justification. One of the reasons was the failure of light and internet not working most of the time. Also i was looking forward to seeing you. However i do understand that you are looking for funds to help many more children. We remain very grateful.
As you can see the children are looking good and the parents very grateful for the help. Sr. Scholastica left this morning with some of the children who came for control. All are very happy and thanks a lot for enabling her to carry out this very important mission. Without you she can do nothing for all those poor children. Thank God for your wonderful love and concern.
I am looking forward for your coming next year for the documentation of this work as mentioned. We will do all to enable you do the work. We have so many children again this time. I will send the hard copy of the justification to Mr Ni Gregory for his file.
God bless all your efforts. Thanks a lot. Hope to hear from you if this has come through.

Yesterday we had about 40 HIV infected children who were invited to come. They were very happy with the toothbrushes you gave me which were given to them. Some had the toils while others had the hairbands. I could not be with them for I was very busy in the hospital with counseling of patients. One of my fellow sisters took some photos which I shall send to you when they are ready.

Thanks very much for the concern you have shown to the above Health Centre with all that you gave to support us.
Your impact of assistance to the Health Centre like the antibiotics, wheel chair, files, pens, bags, computers etc. was really of help to us. Forceps and other instruments are being used in the Maternity and Dressing room. It has helped the staff, H/C and community.
Old people were very happy to have their gifts as you will see in the pictures and the letter which a blind old pa wrote to me sending thanks. Health committee village members had bags and they too were very happy and gave me potatoes to eat in your name since the potatoes cannot reach you, as a sign of gratefulness on what you have done to their Health Centre and community people as well. It has motivated the community to see that their H/C is out to help them in any way.

Dear Katja and Felix Bruhin,
Last week Ni Gri was here with a whole load that made very many people in Shisong very happy. I was the happiest knowing that it is because of me and your Love for humanity that you are extending your charitable work to very many needy people especially children in Cameroon.
The Reverent Sister in charge of the orphans with the gifts for the children was so happy. Therese and Brendan said they were going to intensely their learning of the German Language. They are 17 of them Novices in formation. Shisong now is very cold. Some girls who came aspiring to join us in the future started wearing some of the pullovers that were in my package as my superior was too happy to distribute to them immediately it was opened. The joy cannot all be recounted here.
I have no other word to say except THANK YOU and to all your collaborators.
All the best and God bless you and the good work you are doing.

Hello good day and may the good Lord richly bless you this day and for evermore. You know we did not think you tell you some of our little experiences with the lenses. Thank you very much for the suggestion. You know as for the glasses which are bifocal and progressive, we gave to those people who badly needed the glasses which corresponded to them. We gave them and a few we sold at give away prices. This has brought much joy to the people and has also increased our circle of friendship. To the negative lenses we also gave at give away prices. As for the sunshades, for children we gave them free of charge and it made them so happy to have glasses. Those for adults, we give them mostly to those elderly persons who have cataracts and to albinos who find it difficult to perceive light. It has been a wonderful experience. Stay blessed.

Dear Katja
Thanks so much for sending us pictures of our children. This is very exciting. Our children in a newspaper in Europe this is wonderful.
Thank you so much for what you are doing to us and other poor and needy children in this country. The baby twins are doing very well. You remembered that I told you that these babies survive because of the hot water bottle you gave to us. They were premature and we know that taking them to the hospital will cost us a lot of money and some one to stay with them for almost a month. We decided to use the hot water bottle to warm them up. They will be 4 month next month and are doing very well and happy. So you and the people working with you can see how helpful you are to our people. We remain ever grateful to you and your husband and all the other people working with you.
God bless.

Dear Katja and Felix,
Congratulations for the performans of your football team yesterday. During the mach I was in the Operation Theatre to see a heart operation for the first time. It was so interesting to see how a patient is put to sleep while his heart is being emptied of blood and put in tubes to keep circulating in his body. After reparing the heart, it is filled again with blood and shoched to start pomping again. These operations have been going on in our hospital here in Shisong since November 2009. Wach for the operations of this month in the near future at www.shisonghospital.org
Greetings from the sisters here. When I talk to them about you, they all long to see you. Special greetings from the two novices that were in Mayo Darle. They thank you very much for the photos you gave them and the pens. Greeting to you Katja, Felix and all your colaborators, friends and relations. God bless.

Katja,
You do not know the great help you have given to Senosia. You have wiped away her tears for she was so disappointed when her father told her was not to go to the college because of no money and she cried. Katja, this one yearof help is great. May God reward once more abundantly. I do understand alright what you said about your NGO work, I hope and pray that by next year the family should be able. Do thank the donors Ruedi and Roman very much for me.
She did very well in her Religious exams, we are waiting for the results of the common entrance and the first school leaving exams which is still to take place on the 15 -06 -010.
Back here in the convent, we are just as if we in Switland with our micromat wave. Every day specially in the morning, we warm our food, bread and enjoy it. It is actually very helpful.
The rains are heavy here but the crops are doing well, soon we will start eating fresh corn from our own farm. If it were posible I will send you your own share of fresh corn through the internet.
The rain makes it difficult to go through the internet, one needs a lot of patience.
Once more greetings from all to all.

Happy feast of the Acension of our Lord to Heaven!
From the bottom of my heart I want to thank you a million times for the quick good gesture you have shown to me and to Senosia in particular. I have no words to express myself, only God will reward you for all.
Ni Gregory was here this morning to give me all the information. Senosia is very happy and she has written a letter which Ni Gregory will send to you via a friend by hand.
During the first three years in the secondary school, children do all the subjects and it is only in form three that individual children now chose either to do Arts or Sciences.
The work in the health centre is going on smoothly and very easy when it comes to caring of wounds, doing office work and cleaning of places is concern for all the dressing materials, the gloves, the files and so many other materials you gave to us are of great help to the centre. Merci! Danke! Thank you!
The eight hundred thousand francs you gave us has finished paying the X-Ray Bills. Is that not wonderful of you? The x-ray is functional now and we have started doing the x-rays bit by bit and people are happy about it for this helps them from going so far to Bamenda only for x-ray thus risking their lives on the high ways.
Accept greetings from everybody and I wish you good health!

Dear Katja and Felix
Greetings from us all. We are doing well and hope you too are doing fine.
We can never thank you enough for all what you have been doing to our home and to other children in this country of Cameroon. I went to visit our Annext home in Batibo and on my way home i met the kids coming back from school. They were kids from Bali. About 20 of them were having the same school bags that our children in the home are having. I was so happy and I quickly thought of you since you are the ones who brought these bags to our kids. What a blessing. We remain very very grateful to you and all you are contributing for this to happen.
You always come to us when we have nothing left in the house as money is concerned. You came last time when some of our kids were in the hospital and you brought money which we use some of it to pay the hospital bills. We are grateful for the black boards. Very useful for the for the kids tolls and all what you brought.
Cameroon as a whole is blessed to have wonderful people who think of the poor like what you are doing.
Please give our Appreciation to the other people who give thier time money and all the things you bring to us.
We all love you.
God bless.

September 2009: 3 Briefe an Ashia von den Sisters in Mayo Darle
Dear Katja and Felix Bruhin,
Greetings from me and everyone in Mayo Darle. Everything here is moving smoothly,
especially because of the support we get from Ashia-ch, for our work in general.
The school year has ended well. The children did so well in their performances.
The hopstial too is taking a new shape especially with the construction going on of the operation theater. Waiting your part.
Here is a cassette of our activities in Mayo Darle made at the close of the school year.
Show it to those who help you to help us.
You will see women in Infant Welfare Clinic sitting on the benches, enjoying the place that Ashia.ch helped us to set for them.
The children in the school are so proud of their school. Discover the rest for yourselves.
Most important is the account of all that you entrusted to us under my care (in an envelope sent 2nd week of September).
The balance is already programmed for a young lady who is learning tailoring.
Sr. Bernard saw her in one of our out-reach stations and irected her to me.
She was given in marriage at 14 years. She has 3 deliveries with four children.
Her husband threw her out with the children. She know how to keep a house only.
So I sent her to do tailoring so that she can help herself and the kids.
Katja and Felix, very high regards.

17. Juni 2009: Brief aus Bawock, wo wir Hilfsgüter gespendet haben
BAWOCK VILLAGE DEVELOPMENT AND CULTURAL ORGANISATION (BAVIDECO)
Dear Friends,
Thank you so very much for the following items which you personally delivered to the Chairman of the Bawock Traditional Council on 11 April 2009 for delivery to the needy people of Bawock.
The items were:
• one carton of pullovers
• one carton of toys
• fifteen pairs of shoes
• two packets of binding papers
• two cartons of clothes for elderly men
• two cartons of dresses for elderly women
• two cartons of canvas shoes for children
• five mixed picture frames
• one carton of assorted clothes for children
• two cartons of T-Shirts for children.
Thank you so very much for these things which were already distributed to our needy by the committee in charge. From what you might have seen in the village, the entire Bawock Village suffered acts of savagery unheard of in modern civilisation.
While we are thankful for these gifts, the needs are still enormous, if one considers that the bulk of houses and their contents of furniture, clothes and food, as well as food crops and livestock were completely destroyed. It will take time therefore before Bawock gets out of the dismal situation.
BAVIDECO is the apex organisation in charge of the development of Bawock Village. Should you want to contact us for any information, we are readily available.
Again, thank you very much. May the Almighty God replenish your stocks many times over and multiply your blessings.
Yours faithfully,
Joseph Njita
Secretary General

August 2008: Brief aus dem Spital in Mayo Darle
Dear Katja and Felix Bruhin,
It was a great joy hearing you on the phone. The joy was greater when i heard you are preparing to visit us again. You are very welcome. Some changes have been made. You will beet 3 new sisters when you come. From the ones you met, only Sister Bernard and I are remaining here. We are now a community of 5 sisters. One sister will be teaching in school. Three sisters working in the Health Center and one doing Pastorla work. Part of our community for the moment is the Medical Doctor, his wife and their three sons. And of course the children in the house. We are all well except Ouseni the orpahn boy who went to his maternal grandmother and fell sick. A sister went to bring him to the hospital for treatment today' she is not yet back.
We have helped some children with what you left us for them. Some with clothings, others with treatment and school fees. Part of the money has been used to set up a Nutrition Center. You will see it when you come. We hope to help many more children who are suffering from malnutrition.
Since we have a Medical Doctor now, we are also trying to set up a Small Operation theatre to be able to save some mothers and their children during child birth.
I have had to discontinue my Malaria drip treatment to accompany a woman for Ceaseran Operation at midnight 60 KM away. Anything that can help us have an operation theater is welcome.
While waiting for you with very kind regards
Sr. Evelyn

Dear Friend
Thank you for the assistance given to Mayo Darle convent owing to the application of Sr. Candida Loh. The sum of 252 000 FCFA is very useful for the Sisters in this impoverished suburb. May God bless and reward you everyday and grant you the joy and satisfaction you deserve for helping us so much.
